March 2021 workshop

This online workshop was organised by the Impact dialogues working group.

The workshop was held on March 3, 2021 and addressed the topic “How organisations best support and encourage research for impact.” There was an invitation to register (PDF 131KB), which described the process, an agenda (PDF 186KB) and three keynote addresses were made available for viewing before the workshop:

  • The importance of community centred research – Nuanua O le alofa, a case study by Annika Tierney Lemisio and Ari Hazelmen, Nuanua O le alofa (NOLA), Samoa. Youtube (7 min video):

  • The perspective of a funder by Petra Lungren, Global Change Institute, University of Queensland. Youtube (5 min video):

There were 29 participants (PDF 130KB): leaders of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research organisations, along with 10 interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary researchers and practitioners.

The workshop generated a lively discussion and was rated a success by participants.
