Working groups are an important way through which NITRO-Oceania achieves its aims. The network has three completed (archived) working groups:
- Impact dialogues working group (formerly Impact narratives working group)
- Moving towards a sustainable future: Contemporary challenges and opportunities working group (also known as the Thought-pieces working group)
- Research classification working group
