The focus was on documenting lessons discussed at the March 2018 meeting in two peer-reviewed journal articles.

Second meeting of global leaders in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research organisations at the School for the Environment and Sustainability, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.

The focus was on the potential for a new global community of practice, as well as discussing a strategy to develop programmatic and educational resources for future leaders.

Attended by Gabriele Bammer and Ken Taylor from the Oceania region.

July 2018: Publication of a feature article in Nature Sustainability

Publication of a feature article in Nature Sustainability about the inaugural meeting of global leaders in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research organisations at the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) in March 2018.

The article entitled: “Meeting the leadership challenges for interdisciplinary environmental research” was written by SESYNC journalist Lisa Palmer. It was published in volume 1 on pages 330-333.
